A prototype across the whole service
Route checks, evidence maps, community reports, and accounts are still being developed and tested. Features and coverage may change. Use the available evidence as a starting point for checking a journey in person, alongside the source and location limits shown with each record.
Start with a place
The Pedestrian map starts with Singapore-wide reports. Find a place moves the map and scopes nearby reports; Filter reports searches the archive text. Optional crossings and covered linkways show published LTA snapshots with their dates and limits. Reports with too little location detail remain available in the list.
Then review a journey
Parents usually care about a specific trip: home to school, a station to an activity, or another regular walk. Check a route starts with those two places, generates one walking route, then shows the evidence Pauserby can defensibly relate to it. It does not compare alternative routes or turn that evidence into a safety score.
Three evidence sources, kept separate
The pedestrian archive is assembled from public police and news reports. Each case keeps its source trail and is mapped only as precisely as the published evidence allows. The archive is incomplete, so missing cases cannot be treated as proof that nothing happened.
LTA traffic context includes current incidents and accidents Pauserby observed during the past 12 months of its own collection history. The feed does not establish severity, casualties, or pedestrian involvement. These records are distinguished from the pedestrian archive on the route map.
Community reports are close shaves and accidents submitted by signed-in members. Each is reviewed before publication, but remains a personal account rather than an independently verified incident. Its selected place is an approximate reference; it may differ from the actual event location. Share a community report.
The supporting maps still have a job
The Traffic accidents view shows accidents currently reported by LTA and incidents this service observed during its own collection history. The Pedestrian map lets people browse the complete researched set, including reports that cannot be placed defensibly on a map. The separate Community Reports list shows approved personal accounts. These sources remain distinct across map browsing and route checks without being combined into one risk signal.
What Pauserby cannot establish
Pauserby cannot tell you whether a route is safe, provide a complete accident history, predict what will happen on a journey, or replace the judgement needed when checking a route in person. Evidence near a route also does not prove that an incident happened on that route.
No matching evidence means only that the available sources did not return a match under Pauserby’s documented rules.
